11:00am - 2:00pm
The automobile is one of the most important technological innovations in history and embodies the intersection of art, society, and science. Cars are excellent demonstrations of a host of scientific principles, from the physics governing motion to the chemistry of propulsion. Advances in automotive design both influence and are products of advances in all of these fields, thus exploring the science of cars is useful in understanding science and engineering.
On Saturday, August 24, from 11:00am until 2:00pm, the Petersen Automotive Museum will be hosting a youth workshop about car science targeting children from 9-14 years old.
Registration is limited and tickets are non-refundable. Workshop ticket includes 1 Child Museum General Admission.
