Ever since growing up in Durham, NC, Leon Kaplan has been in love with all things motorized, earning him his nickname, the Motorman. After moving to California, he tried his hand at auto racing, aviation, and boating. For decades, his auto shop on 3rd Street was a staple of the mid-Wilshire area. He has also shared his love for the car with the masses through his radio show on KABC-AM, which is the longest running uninterrupted show on the network. Leon has also has a long-running relationship with the Petersen.
Join us on July 23rd at 11 am for a special tour of the museum led by the Motorman himself. Ticket includes one standard admission as well as a spot on the one-hour museum tour. Parking is not included. Space is limited.
